Catching Up

I haven’t blogged in a really long time. I just finished my freshman year of college at NYU. It was incredible. I wanted to post a few things that have inspired me this past semester.

I’m trying to grasp my own sense of style with regards to music. I have my favorite bands, I know what I want to sound like, but getting there is hard. It’s hard to recreate what already exists and still be original…otherwise there’s no point, right? I want to be Micachu, the Pixies, Spoon, but also have melodies as provoking as classical music: Erik Satie, Ravel…
